Friday, June 23, 2017 - Mike Miller, owner & general manager of Mike Miller Auction Service of Chillicothe, Mo. has announced new expansion and an additional auctioneer joining the auction firm effective immediately. Tyler Keenan, formerly of Grinell, Iowa, will be assisting in all phases of our auction business. Keenan, age 24, has recently moved to Chillicothe. After graduation from Grinnell High School, he graduated from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with an A.A.S. Degree in Agriculture Production Management in 2013, then received his Bachelors Degree at Iowa State University in Agriculture Studies in 2015. He also received his auctioneering degree at the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa, in the summer of 2014. Ty and his business partner formed INK Auctioneering, LLC. He has been conducting auctions for three years, including farm machinery auctions, general household & antique auctions, mostly in the central Iowa region.

Along with long-time auctioneer David May, this now gives the auction firm 72 years of combined auction experience. "We have been extremely blessed to have Dave with us for over 25 years, and now with Tyler joining ranks, we couldn't be happier." "These two guys are the hardest workers I've ever been around, and the three of us will continue to give our clients the utmost in service." "For a couple years, we've been looking for the "right guy" to join us - we believe we found him!"

Besides his auction duties in Iowa, Keenan was also working full time with "Iowa Family Farms", traveling Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma & Texas on a large scale row-crop operation.

As a two-generation auction company, Mike conducted his first auction in 1974, his senior year in high school, with his father (Joe Miller), who was a licensed auctioneer for 45 years. After his dad's retirement, he joined Daryl Danner in 1985 as Danner-Miller Auction Service. After Danner's death in 1992, David May joined the firm shortly afterward, and this "team" has been conducting auctions, averaging approximately 100 auctions per year over the past 25 years, specializing in land & real estate auctions, farm machinery, antiques & general household sales.
